Jakub Králik

PhD. Student

I graduated with honours in Genetics at Comenius University (Slovakia) in 2018. During my studies, I became fascinated with optogenetics and this fascination persisted to present day. I joined the Kleinlogel lab in July 2018 and in my current project I focus on functional evaluation of vision restoration in blind retinas using multi-electrode arrays.  The ultimate aim of my project is to decipher complex retinal processing of signals originating from artificially inserted optogenetic tools. Such insights may help in advancement of potential treatments for retinal degeneration. In my free time I enjoy running, yoga and cooking.
